Week 34: Bad decisions are better than no decision
faster business decisions, slower life lessons
thank you to over 10,000 of you who read this weekly and share with your friends and family.
what is worse?
talking about the same thing over and over again to find a perfect potential solution
OR
testing with a slightest potential of idea of movement and seeing what happens?
the pessimist or the realist will likely choose option A.
the optimist or the rebellious will likely choose option B.
after stating three companies from ground zero, i am starting to see a pattern that i think really is overlooked.
the ability to make decisions with nearly 60% or less information and being comfortable with it.
the team actually will thrive if they can know a direction to go, even if it’s wrong because momentum is what moves the business and indecision is what stalls it.
make decisions, even if they are wrong.
your team will thank you and you can thank me later :)
my experience is, 99% of the decisions are reversible & helped me find better options.
now there are 1% decisions in life and business that you need to take your time.
but that’s not most of what keeps you and I up and night, does it?
just go for it.
on a personal note: as everyone at home and around the world is gearing up for Christmas and the holidays, there is fatigue of sorts for people to simply take a break.
this go around, we don’t plan to travel but kick back and relax.
watch tons of movies, play tennis (of course) and have an agenda-free time.
i think, we all can do that a little because 99% of the year, we all have been working hard.
like really hard.
the next two weeks are that 1% that really matters to take it easy and relax.
leaderpoint: make decisions faster and live life slower.
Good one! Decision making and direction setting is very important and part of the job!
Life rewards action.
