week 10: what's more important than your product, or brand
team beats great products
one of the greatest challenges of building a business is making things happen, fast, so you can test new ideas and find new ways to grow.
Let’s start with what i am failing at last week:
lack of focused time
too many moving pieces
feeling we are behind…. all the time
listening to the market more than we should
am i talking to someone right now? if so, drop-in comments about what you are struggling with.
well, what is working in the midst of all this chaos - is this one thing called “Team”:
team - the partners assembled seem so incredibly powerful that it feels like we can take over the world
team - a good combination of Dreamer, Doer, and Driver which makes it a well-rounded team
team - feeling that we got each other’s back
on a personal note, yesterday was my son, krish’s 12th birthday - the first time celebrating in India.
He is surrounded by love and a lot of family members - all wanting nothing but happiness and success for him.
i could see his smile and face radiating with the love of everyone around him.
suddenly i was reminded that this is no different than building a great team that is FOR you all the days of your life/project/business.
i am recognizing that my number 1 job is to build a great team.
that’s all i can control and that’s all i need to do.
as a leader, that is all you can control and that’s all you need to do.

Toxic positivity requires us to only focus on the wins without acknowledging the struggles, constant negativity can lead us to pay attention only to the hard times. being able to hold both in tension is one of your gifts!
