thank you to over 11,000 of you who read this weekly and share with your friends and family for behind the scenes on building a million a 5 million dollar business from scratch and beyond.
i also include a personal note in the end so i am grateful that you let me do that without judgement.
last week we hosted the first of the 4 event series called “GTM is better together” in ATL and the next few months we will be in Boston, NYC and Boston.
here’s a pic of me wearing the lights to kick off the opening with drum line from NYC.
it’s not fun if there are is nothing that pushed your boundaries.
the goal is the bring teams, tech and trust back into the world of go-to-market and the response has been overwhelmingly awesome!!!
actually, the next day, people asked me if i was exhausted?
but i wasn’t and here’s why:
that was truly a better together event:
there are few team members who exclusively focused on the experience and registration of the event for months and they crushed it
our team ran bulk of the programing of the event from speaking to panels
we hired MCs to keep the run of show tight
we hired a awesome keynote to mix things up on leadership
we hired an agency to support on-site setup
our better together sponsors drove a good deal of high quality registrations taking the load off the one team doing it all
i actually only had a 30 mins session in the beginning and then the rest of the time, i was truly just part of the experience
it was amazing to simple be part of it and not micro managing everything until the very end.
also last week we announced that we are going to have Lindsay Cordell join Bryan and I as a partner in our growing firm to help with advisory and research of the best practices for go-to-market.
you can read all about this amazing partnership here that has been in the works for 2 years - we are stronger as a firm than ever before because we are better, together.
on a personal note, i don’t believe in work life balance.
i believe in work life integration.
i love bringing my family to GTM Partners events and here’s why:
they get to see me work - not just talk about life and hard work but see me do it
the kids get to be part of something bigger than themselves - be part of the community and a movement
they get to see what how team work can create magic - nothing beats a great team
leader point: no one ever said, it’s fun doing it alone. in business and in life, things are always better, together.
