thank you to over 11,000 of you who read this weekly and share with your friends and family for behind the scenes on building a million dollar business from scratch and beyond.
i also include a personal note in the end so i am grateful that you let me do that without judgement.
first quarter was a doozie.
second quarter was a record growth.
and now we are preparing for the third quarter.
what’s happening?
i am learning to believe in myself, the team, and the product.
the key is knowing how to make decisions midstream and adjust.
the ups and downs are what kills most businesses.
we want it smooth and we want it clean.
the reality is that it’s never that.
what I am realizing is this:
- have a growth mindset not a goal mindset so that you grow no matter what happens with the goals
- the money is in the follow up and process, not just good intention
- no one will believe it in if you don’t
on a personal note, last weekend we had a tennis tournament and Krish was winning in the back draw.
unfortunately the matches were now extended to Monday.
but starting Monday, krish has signed up for volunteering at his Church.
now that he is a teenager, as parents, we don’t want to make decision for him.
we want to teach him, how to make decisions.
so I asked him, what is your decision making process and he without thinking said:
- do what is right
- glorify God
- serve others
well, that sounds pretty good to me and as soon as he said that he realized that the right thing to do is to default the Monday matches and serve at the church since others depended on him.
honestly, I don’t think I make decisions as he can and of course, he hated the decision on the moment but gladly served the whole week.
i think he has already won the whole tournament.
if he does apply this decision making process, which is completely his, he would do well.
and so would I and perhaps so will you.
what is your decision making process?
Leaderpoint: leaders don’t just make decisions, they have a decision making process.
