thank you to over 11,000 of you who read this weekly and share with your friends and family for behind the scenes on building a million dollar business from scratch and beyond.
i also include a personal note in the end so i am grateful that you let me do that without judgement.
every day there is task list for each of us to do things.
i would write 3 things to do and 3 things i am grateful for.
end of day i scratch off the 3 things in hopes of feeling accomplished and then start over the next day.
one of the rather remarkable thing i am noticing is that sometimes it’s not things i get done but rather the things that i can let go, that gives me joy.
for example, we are launching the GTM Ambassador program and it is by far the most amazing program to galvanize the momentum and the category of go-to-market.
in the past, i would nit pick every little thing on it because it’s so important to me.
this go round, i decided to let go and trust the team that is leading it and sit more in an advisory role.
it’s fascinating how excited i am feeling about the program once i let go of the ownership and decided to trust.
will it be exactly what i want, of course not!
but is it different and may be even better, you bet it is.
the power of letting go is undeniable.
plus, this is allowing me to focus on what i can control and not worry about everything in the business.
on a personal note, we are back at Tennis tournament and what i noticed was that one kid that Krish was playing was slightly making the wrong calls.
i could see it, so could Krish and the parents of the kid.
unfortunately, the parents just ignored it for the most part.
now, i have seen over zealous parents who will bring the officials in and make a fuss about it.
i had a decision to make - do i step in and be the dad who cares more about points or do i teach my son to let go of the little things and focus on the big things?
well, i chose the later and asked him to focus on the controlling the ball to pick bigger targets that cannot be called OUT.
i told him that he is a champion and that he needs to let go of the little things.
what will matter in the end is who is picking bigger targets and who keeps the ball and emotions in control.
somehow, he did and won the match but more importantly, he found a way to fight through it.
in life and in business, the to-do list won’t ever go down, but may be we need to create a list of things to “let-go”.
what’s your let go list look like?
leaderpoint: letting go will help you get more done.
Love this and doing this daily too!
