as we roll into 8 weeks of starting a new business, here is what my big realization is.
Momentum is what keeps you alive.
now, in the early days, you don’t close deals every day or every week.
I had forgotten the earlier days of seeing a day go by and not close a deal.
so sometimes, i feel that i am simply working hard with no results.
after all the bank statements will tell you the truth :)
so how do you keep going?
well, meet your best friend - momentum.
so how do you create momentum when money is not the thing that creates it?
well, you manufacture momentum.
Here’s what we are doing on a weekly basis:
For our GTM staffing business - have 15 submissions
For our GTM Growth plays - have 3-5 conversations
For our peak community - celebrate weekly promotions
For our GTM Education business - teach 1000 people in the next year
now when (not if) we do that, every single week, we would continue to move forward.
if we keep moving forward, we create momentum.
and momentum creates energy.
and ultimately that energy creates outcomes.
on a personal note:
by the time you read this, I am flying overseas to India after about 5 years. What is exciting for me is to know that we can work from anywhere and keep the momentum going.
as i meet my family after a long time, I am reminded of this sobering fact:
It’s hard to keep momentum in the relationships that matter most.
we get busy, things occupy life and we forget the people who contributed and sacrificed the most to get us where we are and that’s family.
so since you are reading this - say I love you to someone that needs to hear it from you.
start your momentum - do it right now!
Leaderpoint: Momentum creates energy. Energy creates outcomes.

Sangram
