thank you to over 11,000 of you who read this weekly and share with your friends and family for behind the scenes on building a million dollar business from scratch and beyond.
i also include a personal note in the end so i am grateful that you let me do that without judgement.
one of the hardest thing to do as a founder is to figure out what to focus on.
there are too many good ideas.
too many options.
too many stories.
yet, the founder has the lean into the very thing that makes them good.
for us, we are good at events and community building.
may i say, the team at GTMP is the best in the industry at this.
we finished out 12th GTM roadshow, and there were people who have attended 8 or 10 of the 12 roadshows in different cities.
the goal is to build relationships.
some of the partners have already planned to do a big conference with us in 2025 and planning things around our event (that even we haven’t fully planned).
the best friend in business is momentum.
more meetings.
more face to face conversations.
the more you show up, the more you can win.
if you learn to win the hearts and minds of people, you are on your way to create a massive momentum.
on a personal note, last night was amazing.
just sitting down with family and having conversation.
about our childhood and the difference in an immigrant mindset and the 1st generation.
the kids took it in as we shared our journey of $350 in our pocket and with me washing dishes and mom doing babysitting to get by in the first few years.
those things, made us stronger.
there is not a bad day when you have lived the bad days.
it’s hard to teach this unless you go thru it.
so krish, who is 13, wants to buy branded shoes.
well he has to earn it by teaching tennis to other kids in the neighborhood.
he gets $20 per 2 hours of teaching so he made about $200 in couple of months as he gets to do that only one day a week.
now, he is buying his first branded shoe with his own money.
it made me realize that in a way, life is a roadshow.
you have to keep at it and keep showing up.
one day, people will recognize you by name.
that day, you can say, you have arrived.
you can wait for things to happen or make things happen.
leader point: in business and in life, the best in the world simply keep showing up every single day.
Keep showing up is 90% of the job. Have to do it consistently and over a long perioid of time! Everything compounds!
So true! Sangram!
In the hustle culture, we have lost patience.......
there is not a bad day when you have lived bad days - love this and congratulations on the loyalty you are building GTMP through real relationships ; ) !
