thank you to over 11,000 of you who read this weekly and share with your friends and family for behind the scenes on building a million dollar business from scratch and beyond.
i also include a personal note in the end so i am grateful that you let me do that without judgement.
as founders and early stage team players, there is no plan B.
literally, failure is not an option.
do they fail… of course.
but the thing that keeps them going is that there is no plan B.
imagine if the founders say… well, plan A is to build a great company, and plan B is to stop working on it as soon as we hit a roadblock and start another company.
those founders are not founders… they are simply trying to win a lottery.
building a company is hard and it has probably never been harder than what it has been in the recent years.
there is no fear other than fear of not trying.
think of Steve Jobs or Marc Benioff or Mother Teresa —- these people had or have no plan B.
they are simply dedicated to a cause for their life.
something they are in pursuit of.
on a personal note, i am back at a tennis tournament in Rome, Georgia and i see the kids playing their heart out.
the difference i see in the kids that make it in the final round is simply that they don’t give up.
they might be physically exhausted but mentally, they are still in the game.
i have seen kids win the first set convincingly and lose the second in just a few minutes.
what happened?
they other kid had no plan B.
they were there to win and not give up.
this reminds me of Jesus.
Jesus never gave up or will give up on the people that believe in him, his sacrifice and his promise.
the entire world history is divided into AD and BC simply because Jesus came and did what he promised to do in 3 and half years or so.
think about it… how can one have influence the world in just short 3 and half or so years.
simply put, he did not come with plan B.
the plan of Jesus was simply to teach us this - how to LOVE God and LOVE others.
leader point: in business and in life, plan B is never a good plan.
Plan B gives one an easy out! In reality there is always a plan B. Go back to the drawing board if everything else does not work
What an intriguing position to hold: no Plan B! It's Plan A or bust!
